From speakers and panels at SxSW addressing why and how app developers should anonymize data, to a more aspirational discussion of digital ethics, the shift away from complete personal exposure and toward individual control of a digital footprint is clear. But full control of personal data and identity requires more than app developers and websites anonymizing datasets.
